Day 8, Love in the time of COVID-19

My neighbor has a bunch of public space in her house, including two couches, so we’ve been having an occasional socially distance movie watch, which has been wonderful. I left my phone over there, and started my (late) morning going to fetch it. Time is so weird. It took hours to get myself clean and ready to go out into the world. I took a long drive, and meandered to my friend’s porch, where I had a pick up for her. We didn’t get anywhere near each other, and had a brief conversation through a closed screen door, more than six feet apart. Painting all afternoon was good, though I need to remember to sit better in the future. Owie. It’s going to take a long time for me to get used to screen time being quality time. I’m not even there yet, not even doing video calling outside of meetings yet.
